The India BioEconomy Report (IBER) 2025 is a comprehensive annual analysis of India's vibrant BioEconomy. It highlights the nation's remarkable progress in biotechnology, with the BioEconomy reaching an impressive $165.7 billion in 2024, marking a significant 16-fold increase over the past decade.

Officially released on March 21, 2025, by Dr. Jitendra Singh, Minister for Science & Technology & PMO, Government of India, the report was unveiled during the 13th BIRAC Foundation Day Ceremony at the National Media Centre in New Delhi. This publication represents an important annual exercise, undertaken consistently since 2016, providing continuous insights into the sector's evolution.

The IBER 2025 was prepared for the "Make In India Facilitation Cell for Biotechnology" of the Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance Council (BIRAC) by the Association of Biotechnology Led Enterprises (ABLE). It was co-authored by Narayanan Suresh, Chief Operating Officer of ABLE, and Srinivas Rao Chandan, Editorial Consultant for ABLE, benefiting from the guidance of Mr. G. S. Krishnan, Hon. President, ABLE.
