The Karnataka BioEconomy Report (KBER) 2024, launched in July 2024, reveals that Karnataka's BioEconomy was valued at an impressive $31 billion in 2023, demonstrating a robust growth rate of 10.7%. This signifies Karnataka's ability to keep pace with global biotech trends and its readiness to set new benchmarks in several emerging technological sectors.
This insightful report has been prepared for the "Karnataka Innovation and Technology Society (KITS)" under the Department of Electronics, IT, BT and S&T, Government of Karnataka. The research and compilation were undertaken by the Association of Biotechnology Led Enterprises (ABLE).
The KBER 2024 was authored by Narayanan Suresh, Chief Operating Officer of ABLE, and Srinivas Rao Chandan, Research & Editorial Consultant for ABLE, with the valuable guidance of GS Krishnan, Honorary President, ABLE.
